My sense is that Q&A would be good; we probably need to process through the material I've covered in the last 3-4 weeks. If I don't that you want to spend some time on Q&A, then I'll move on to the 7 Trumpets section of Revelation (see link).

I think a Q&A time this week might be good. It was definitely new information for me and I am kind of overwhelmed with it all trying to figure it out. I have really loved learning eschatalogy, it is very eye opening and encouraging. Thanks for your excellent teaching!
I just "re-found" your blog. What are your thoughts on the "2nd coming of Christ" as the warrior-king that the Jews expected their messiah to be?

I don't know where you are theologically, but I come at your question about Jesus' second coming from a staunchly reformed perspective that doesn't look for a secret rapture. So, I see the second coming as very much the warrior-king returning. When Jesus comes again, I think it will be just like Revelation 19 describes "11I saw heaven standing open and there before me was a white horse, whose rider is called Faithful and True. With justice he judges and makes war. 12His eyes are like blazing fire, and on his head are many crowns. He has a name written on him that no one knows but he himself. 13He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood, and his name is the Word of God. 14The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen, white and clean." He will come in power and strength to claim the earth as his own.
I'm really glad you asked your question because I had never connected the Jews' expectations with what ours should be. They were expecting the messiah to come in power, and Jesus failed their expectations. But we are expecting the Messiah to come in power, and he will!
